Sacred Name Movement

Sacred Name Movement

Gods name is his position. Names in Hebrew are designations.

Exodus 3 13 Then said Moses unto God: when I come unto the children of Israel and say unto them, the God of your fathers hath sent me unto you, and they say unto me, what is his name, what answer shall I give them? Then said God unto Moses: I WILL BE WHAT I WILL BE: and he said, this shalt thou say unto the children of Israel: I WILL BE did send me to you.

Esay 9 6 Upon his shoulders shall the kingdom lie, and he shall be called with his own name: the wonderous giver of counsel, the mighty God, the everlasting father, the Prince of peace

Jeremiah 23 6 his time shall Judah be saved and Israel shall dwell without fear. And this is the name that they shall call him: even the LORD our righteous maker.

Exodus 34 14 For the LORD is called jealous, because he is a jealous God
God is referred to as Father 250 times in the new testament. All the names of the different sacred name movements in disagreement are mentioned in the New Testament exactly 0 times.

John 17 25 righteous FATHER the very world hath not known thee: but I have known thee, and these have known that thou hast sent me. And I have declared unto them thy name, and will declare it, that the love where with thou hast loved me, be in them, and that I be in them.

John 20 17 Jesus said unto her: touch me not, for I have not yet ascended to my FATHER. But go to my brethren and say unto them, I ascend unto my FATHER, and your FATHER: my God and your God

Romans 8 15 For ye have not received the spirit of bondage to fear any more, but ye have received the spirit of adoption whereby we cry Abba FATHER. The same spirit certifieth our spirit that we are the sons of God.

John 14 6 No man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

When we pray to God we address his position - we pray to our Father. Jesus said when we pray - pray "Our Father"
Jesus came to declare Gods name and he called him FATHER.

God Himself confused the languages...are you suggesting that anyone who isn't learning Hebrew is losing their salvation? There are over 7 thousand languages in the world, and up until a few hundred years ago nobody had any copy of any bible in their own language, were people unable to be saved until these end times? No way.

Names were translated just as the rest of the text and you are absolutely correct the names are meaningful and valid when they continue to be meaningful through translation. If you are obedient to Iseous (greek) and someone is obedient to Jesus(english), and another is obedient to Tiān na!(chineese) and they satisfy His will they are saved.

Don’t over literalize this. The confession ("calling on the Name") is an expression of the faith. Calling on the name of the Lord has nothing to do with how you pronounce or spell his name. Calling on the name of the Lord is an expression that denoted making a public confession of faith and commitment to living a holy life. The goal of God is for us to be saved, it's not to set up a trap hidden in a verse somewhere that if you don't catch you're heading to hell. Calling on the name of the Lord is the same concept as saying prayers "in the name of Jesus". It means you and your requests are in total conformity with the nature, character and will of God. It is a whole-souled submission.
People who get wrapped up in the supposedly proper Hebrew name for Jesus are wasting their time. Doing so has nothing to do with the transformation of the inner man into the likeness of Christ.

People's names translate differently, this isn't unusual. They don't have to take on the translated version of course. Eg. John in french is Jean, Peter in Italian is Pietro, James in Scottish Gaelic is Seumas
